Need -Tivoli Netcool Omnibus, Impact and TBSM
Job Type: 6 months plus contract
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design and implementation of the application monitoring tools (Knowledge of Tivoli OMNIBus Impact is essential)
ROLE
IT senior consultant - Performance Monitoring Specialist (Tivoli and Impact)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Will work as an integral part of a team to support application and systems monitoring dashboard for database, batch processing, and interface file transfers using Tivoli Business Services Manager, Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus, Tivoli OMNIbus Impact, Tivoli Universal Agent and Tivoli Common Reporting/Tivoli Data Warehouse connecting to agents in Solaris and IBM zOS systems.
Will work within an engagement team and is responsible for requirements management, functional design, configuration, testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 4 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
• Understanding of Event Management process within IT Service Management and/or business application operations
• Performance Monitoring tools experience (Tivoli Business Services Manager, Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus, Tivoli OMNIbus Impact, Tivoli Universal Agent and Tivoli Common Reporting/Tivoli Data Warehouse)
• US Citizenship required for this position, must be eligible to obtain public trust clearance
• Bachelor degree
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Provide operational monitoring system and performance maintenance, including applying patches and system tuning as appropriate
• Update the configuration, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures based on operational experience, enhancements and modifications
• Remediate defects
• Maintain configuration tables based on production experience and changes approved through the Change Management process
• Assess and support modifications/additions/deletions requested from operational monitoring tool customers in TBSM and Impact
• Prepare client to administratively support the PAM monitoring tool with a focus on Impact and TBSM, as required
• Provide on call or onsite support to work with existing IRS resources on maintenance, troubleshooting, and system restoration requirements
• Follow standard IRS file transmission and separation of duties procedures to deploy changes to Production
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Work Load/Batch processing experience (BMC Control-M or Tivoli Workload Manager) is a plus
