The Tool Operations Planner/Project Manager is responsible for load planning and Project management of all tool operation build and system integration. This position will directly supervise 4 engineers and up to 50 skill trades personnel in daily build activities. The chosen candidate for his position must be able to evaluate program data and estimate work scope to establish, load plans, prioritize work schedules and track through completion in all tool and system build phases (i.e. fab, machine, assembly, pipe, wire, system setup, integration, tryout, debut, part runs and buyoff). The Tool Operations Planner/Project Manager will interface with ME and Product Engineering groups regarding program and build activities for up front load plans and planning.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Journeyman or equivalent experience as a process/design engineer, toolmaker/machine builder, electrical/integration specialist, electrician/technician
Must have 10 years minimum experience in machine tool build and integration field.
Experience and/or have functional knowledge in the machine tool build operations and processes; fabrication, machining, tool build/assembly, pipe & wire, system setup, integration, tryout/debug, buyoff and ship
Project management experience and ability to estimate scope of work and costs/hours for the loading/planning/manufacturing of machine tool assembly systems, checking fixtures and special means tools/parts
Proficient in the use of the following software programs; MS Project, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point, Auto Cad, and CATIA
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering degree preferred
5 years supervisory experience is preferred
