Job Description:
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company is seeking a toxicologist with human health risk assessment emphasis to support the development of tobacco products consistent with RJRT's Growth, Innovation and Harm Reduction Platforms.

- Design and implement projects related to the toxicological and health risk evaluation of tobacco products
- Provide input and modeling support for ongoing quantitative health risk assessment projects
- Develop technical reports and white papers on a variety of scientific and risk assessment topics
- Conduct and coordinate specialized scientific work requiring independent thought and judgment
- Assist with regulatory compliance activities
Requirements
- PhD degree in toxicology or related discipline with post-doctoral or three years of relevant work experience required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.
- DABT eligibility and experience in an FDA-regulated environment is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency in toxicology/risk assessment principles/practices, including hazard, dose-response, exposure, risk characterization and uncertainty assessment
- Ability to independently conceive and execute toxicological risk assessments on individual chemicals and chemical mixtures
- Experience in computational toxicology techniques such as:
- Physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling, and/or biologically-based dose-response (BBDR) modeling
- Monte Carlo simulation
- Quantitative structure/toxicity relationships (QSTRs)
