Value Stream Optimization National Pillar Director

JOB TITLE: Value Stream Optimization National Pillar Director
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Continuous Improvement
 
SUMMARY:
 
Ensuring and optimizing value-added work and eliminating waste across the enterprise-wide supply network. Serve as a centre of expertise of LEAN methodology and dissemination, guidance and implementation of methodologies for evaluating, analysing, and improving the integrated supply network.  Overall responsibility for VSO methodology development, LEAN tools, deployment, and capability building to support the implementation of the VSO Pillars across the campuses.  Develop and lead a corporate VSO Master Plan to ensure the consistent implementation of the continuous improvement system.  Identify and deploy capability to sup[ply network  priorities.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·         Identify supply network waste and provide support, methodology, and resources to network improvement projects
·         Link Pillar activities to relevant loss streams and goal delivery
·         Define methodology for defining and quantifying loss streams
·         Develop Management Routines of pillar
·         Own and deploy universal value-stream optimization and LEAN methodology and tools
·         Develop and manage the Pillar Master Plan linked to delivery of business results
·         Spread methodology
·         Define, develop and improve tools and audits for the Pillar steps
·         Benchmark campuses according to pillar implementation
·         Define and deliver capability building plans for skill development of campuses and teams
·         Carry out visits in the campuses for analysing gaps, supporting the campus and creating alignment
·         Lead and organize the master pillar team representing system owners and campus pillar leads
·         Provide templates, forms and layouts
·         Coach the pillar leader at campus level
·         Cooperate with other pillars, initiatives, and Departments
·         Develop and improve tools and audits for work process improvement  projects;
·         Support the Executive Leadership in selecting the appropriate projects based on the cascading of objectives;
·         Ensuring that the benefits generated on the projects are properly measured and that the impact on costs are clearly identified
·         Report of the projects´ results and consolidating the results in projects implemented to stakeholders
·         Ensure achievement of improvements in accordance with priorities established by the Business / Campuses
·         Develop and perform trainings for pillars
·         Cooperate with other initiatives and departments

·         Detection, support and implementation of improvements that can reduce significantly key balanced KPIs in the Campus or avoid new capital investments.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
 
·         Good knowledge of project management
·         Deep knowledge of methodologies and statistical analysis and solve problems such as, DMAIC, PDCA, etc.
·         Expert knowledge of LEAN methodology, tools, and concepts
·         Intermediate knowledge of TPM
·         Process mapping, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
·         Good influencing skills
·         Good understanding of the business needs
·         Change Management
·       Strong coaching skills and ability to facilitate the work in teams
·        Ability to teach trainings in all organizational levels
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
 
·       2 years in leading and coaching LEAN
·       Previous Leadership experience (leading others or projects)
·       1 year Distribution Center experience
·       Experience in project management
Degree (4 year or higher)
